People living with Parkinson’s disease experience a decline in their ability to control their movements. But the Trager Approach has been able to give some of that control back to them. Trager sessions create a lighter, freer way to experience their body without the tension and struggle that often accompanies Parkinson’s.
“Balance and walking are much easier for me now because of Trager. I have learned that the relaxation element allows me to function,” says Constantine Cassolas, who lives with Parkinson’s. The self-help movements taught during a Trager session also help ease pain and improve balance.
Since Trager is a gentler alternative to traditional massage many people living with chronic pain can experience relief.
If you know someone who is living with Parkinson’s please call to find out more information on how this new approach can ease their pain and increase their mobility.
